Jump-Start Your Cloud Journey

Deeper analytical insight and agility is at the forefront of growth strategy for companies across all industries. However, the complexity of defining the appropriate path to leverage the benefits of the Cloud to gain meaningful insight from your data can be overwhelming.
The Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), a breakthrough product for both Essbase and Business Intelligence (BI), provides a comprehensive collection of analytic capabilities that provide the right information, to the right people, at the right time. Watch our webinar series where we will present how OAC can address requirements from line-of-business users and workgroups to the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and analytics applications. Ultimately, OAC produces rich visualizations from complex data.
Sierra-Cedar has an upcoming five-part blog series that discusses the value of OAC and how to use it. This five part series will provide configuration tips and leading practices to keep OAC efficient and effective. Oracle Essbase and BI users and administrators will receive guidance to help plan and implement Essbase and Oracle BI solutions in OAC. And most importantly, this blog series shows participants the strength and value of OAC, information you can use to prepare your business case.
We will present five, one-hour webinars on Thursdays from 1–2:00 p.m. Each focuses on a separate OAC area.

  • Configure, Provision, and Migrate to Oracle Analytics Cloud Services
  • Design and Administrate Oracle Analytic Cloud Essbase Databases
  • Migrate Essbase Financial Reports, Web Analysis, Smart View Reports to OAC Essbase
  • Drive Better Insights with Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Assess and Migrate On-Premise OBIEE to Oracle Analytics Cloud Services Thursday

The series will be focused on OAC and gaining the benefits of a Cloud deployment. The presenters will discuss data preparation, reporting through advanced analytics, and what-if modeling. They’ll show the visualization possibilities and how to connect to many different data sources. Remember one of the BIG differences with OAC is that it is PaaS vs SaaS, i.e., you control the environment(s): When do you want to create a backup or to apply an update? How many CPUs, how much disk space, or how much memory should be allocated? You are in control of this elastic environment and can specify when to increase/decrease it to maximize your spend.
