June 11, 2020 – Alpharetta, GA – Sierra-Cedar, Inc. announced the Sierra-Cedar 2020–2021 HR Systems Survey, 23rd Annual Edition is open and available for participation by the greater HR community through July 10th. The survey is the longest running, most widely distributed, and highly participative research effort in the HR industry. It annually tracks the adoption, deployment approaches, and value achieved from HR technologies. This year’s survey is a joint effort of Sierra-Cedar and Sapient Insights Group.
The 2020-2021 survey will include a few changes from previous years including questions seeking to understand the data and technology most helpful during COVID-19, expanding the definition of service delivery technology, and providing additional opportunities to share vendor specific feedback. This year, in addition to all its usual aims, the survey strives to be a space for organizations to share experiences and uncover solutions to enable businesses to support workers and recover from the pandemic.
In the 2019-2020 survey, 1,892 unique organizations participated, which represented a total workforce of 22.2 million employees and contingent workers around the globe. The results showed 50 percent of respondents stating their current HRMS and Talent Management applications have major functionality gaps. It also found organizations are achieving repeatable business outcomes through HR Technology investments when investing in specific strategy, integration, and change management practices.
Participants in the survey will receive a personalized data snapshot filtered by size, industry, or region as well as an advance copy of the Sierra-Cedar 2020–2021 HR Systems Survey, 23rd Annual Edition White Paper in early October. Furthermore, the first 100 respondents will receive a $5 Starbucks card, and $100 Visa gift cards will be awarded to the 23rd, 123rd, and 1,023rd respondents.
The survey research is shared openly to assist organizations with developing HR systems strategy and building a business case for change. History has shown organizations value data that assist in making business decisions and start important conversations. The survey responses are confidential and only used in the aggregate; results will debut at the HR Technology® Conference in October 2020.
